The Knox County
Schools' Public Relations office provides information and
communication which generates knowledge, awareness, understanding,
and cooperation between all stakeholders of the education process.
It is the goal of the Public Relations department to "Open Minds to
a World of Possibilities."
In addition to serving as a liaison to the local media and
coordinating internal and external communication, the office also
provides print and electronic media services to the district.

- Publicity of classroom and school events and
student achievements.
- Printing services including full color poster enlargements.
- Video services including classroom guest speakers and
instructional video including National Board preparation.
- Assistance in preparing classroom and program promotional
materials including websites and print.

Community
- Liaison between the public and the Knox County
Board of Education and it's programs and services.
- Release of school district information via electronic and print
media outlets.
- Student operated local access television channel.

stakeholders in the event of an emergency, school closing, or school
