The faculty and
staff of Jesse D. Lay Elementary in Barbourville, Kentucky,
continue the commitment to nurture learning so that each student
may accomplish his/her maximum educational potential. Our goal
is to partner with parents to create a supportive community by
celebrating the accomplishments of their children. Parents of
Lay Elementary children are actively involved in academics,
parent volunteering, parent organizations, and extracurricular
activities. We implement a variety of educational opportunities
that will ensure that all of our students continue to achieve
high standards. By targeting prevention and early intervention,
our staff ensures that every child can become a successful
reader. Implementation of a district wide curriculum with
integrated technology provides all students with the necessary
tools to assure that proficiency shall be achieved. All
stakeholders at Jesse D. Lay Elementary continue to rise to
challenges that make a successful school. |
