G.R. Hampton Elementary is a high performing school nestled in the foothills of the Appalachian mountains. Our staff of approximately 50 strives to challenge students to grow academically while at the same time nurturing the whole child. We provide an outstanding education for preschool through sixth grade students. We accomplish this through effective curriculum, instruction, and assessment that meets the guidelines of the Kentucky Program of Studies and Core Content. Our school offers Response to Intervention for struggling learners, a variety of researched-based programs, and many extracurricular activities. Parent involvement is encouraged as we encourage parents to be vital stakeholders in their children's success. We believe in creating a community of learning and that all members are valued.
