Girdler Elementary School is having Kindergarten registration for the 2012-2013 school year the week of March 26-30, 2012. Parents should bring all documentation with them to the registration session. For more information call the school at (606)546-4859.

Our school is
located on Highway 11 North in Knox County, Kentucky. Our school
follows the philosophy that all students can learn and be
successful. Furthermore, the mission of Girdler School is to
provide a safe, orderly and academically rich environment in
which students can experience success while nurturing every
student to reach his/her educational potential through the
combined efforts of all stakeholders. Staffing currently
consists of a building principal, librarian, speech-language
pathologist, school nurse, guidance counselor, thirty one
certified teachers and a Family Resource Center that services
all our students and their families. We are currently using the
district's curriculum mapping which aids in student learning by
giving relevant instruction in a timely manner. Our school has
an active PTA receiving many hours of volunteer time donated by
devoted parents. |
